When I read this poem posted by a friend on Facebook this morning I was instantly transported to our view from the McCall house across the wetlands. When I rise early to watch the sun rise on the tree tops and move down through the shadows to the cattails, I feel the presence of the Spirit moving through nature and into my life. Then, what is the response? Sometimes I do well, sometimes it is a real bust, but I feel God's grace palpably. What could be better?
As you know my "STAR" word this year is "Completeness." The momentum of these lines is an expression of my journey daily toward Completeness in my life, physically and spiritually.
I look into the world
In which the sun is shining
In which the stars are sparkling
In which the stones repose.
Where living plants are growing
Where sentient beasts are living
Where human souls on earth
Give dwelling to the spirit.
I look into the soul,
That lives within my being
The World Creator weaves
In sunlight and in soul light,
In world space there without
In soul depths here within.
To Thee Creator Spirit
I will now turn my heart
To ask that strength and blessing
For learning and for work
May ever grow within me.
